Cruising Weekend at Magor Farm Campsite - May 17th – 19th 2013

Organised by The Proper Cornish Cruisers

Written by: Mark Roberts

Tony, Carl and Craig camped Friday/Saturday and took advantage of the great weather to chill out and sink one or two beers.

Sunday; With the Car Cruise starting at 12.00, I met Chris and Mathew and we headed off to Magor Farm for the start. There was plenty of Hotrods and American Classics in attendance, after taking some pics it was time for the off. We were at the back in between a couple of Mustangs, and then suddenly we were having a tour of Avers roundabout, circling it 3 times. We thought it was to display the Classic Cars, come to find out we were in fact waiting for another Classic to catch up.

We had a nice drive through Lanner, Ponsanooth ( although the roads were a bit tight there) and Penryn.

Entering Falmouth we turned left by McDonalds taking the road through the main street and on to Events Square. The noise from the thundering V8's and the amount of people who stood and watched was just amazing. We spent just over an hour at Events Square, it was then time to resume the Cruise. Leaving Events Square we took the route around Castle Drive and back to the main Falmouth road. The Cruise was then heading to Swanpool, but we decided at this point to head home.

A great run, loved the V8 noise through Falmouth.
