Opposite Healeys Cider Farm, Penhallow, TR4 9LW
We took our Motorhomes and caravans up on Thursday and Friday evenings to avoid the busy A30.
Saturday 8th July
We then met on Saturday morning with our Fords at our meeting place – The Inn For all Seasons and left there at 8.30am.
Once at the show – Martin had saved a place for us and with 13 cars, what an impressive line – up we had!
There was plenty to see and do with the ring entertainment all day, trade stands and plenty of cars, bikes and commercial vehicles.
Nick had attempted to drink the beer wagon dry and by 6.00pm had retired to his camper for a long sleep. While Mark, Adam, Glen and Martin made our way to watch the evening's entertainment - “Reservoir Stogs” - they were brilliant!
On the way back, although stationary engines are not among our favourites, we headed that way and they did put on a brilliant light show.
Sunday 9th July
The members who were not camping met at the Inn for all Seasons 8.30am and were led by Keith E.
Again, we had 13 cars and a slightly different line up from Saturday but just as impressive. We had some interest from a Capri and a RS2000 owner about joining our Club, so hopefully we will see them at one of our meets soon.
We also had a chat with a couple of boys from Northern Ireland who were Ford mad and invited us over for a tour with Northern Ireland RS Owners.
Again, as on Saturday there was plenty to see and do.
At around 4.00pm, most of our Club went in to the ring for a display and at the end, Club member Simon was recalled to the ring and won Best in Show for the Cars Category! – Well done Simon Baldwin.
We would like to thank John and all at K.O.V.C for a great Weekend.
