Mount Edgcumbe 2012 - Sunday 5th August

Written by: Mark Roberts

With so many shows being rained off this year, we had high hopes for this one, although mainly dry we did experience the odd shower.

We all met up at the Route 38 Diner for this one and this proved a popular place to congregate. The drive then onto Mount Edgcumbe was very enjoyable with twists and turns and quite often single track as through Millbrook village.

On arrival we were parked in rows according to the "make" of vehicle. We had 3 Capri's and a Ford Granada Consul, unfortunately Matt's Capri had a water pump problem, so he came along in his Fiesta and Luke arrived late afternoon and couldn't park with us.

There was a good turnout of various Veteran, Classic and American cars, and there were some Fords which we had not seen before including an Australian RS2000 4dr and a 100E V8. The auto jumble and trade Stands wasn't as big as previous years but this you come to expect. The rain started to get a bit heavier and prolonged at 4.00pm so we packed up and joined the queue (everyone decided to leave the same time) this was fine apart from some idiot in a Granada who decided to wheel spin damaging one of our cars.

Members who attended: Mark, Steve, Carl, Craig, Pete, Matt and Luke, also some members families.
