Dartmoor Sunday 17th September. Organised by John Adamson
An early start for this one, members Mark, Steve, Geoff, Chris & Karenza, Ian & Arlene, Carl & Sally and Jerry & Jac left the Fox and Hounds 9.00am. With blue skies and the sun beginning to make an appearance it was off to Cornwall Services to meet Paul & Marlene and Jordan.
After a short break it was on to Tavistock (our Starting Position) where we met Andy & Donna, Shaun & Amy and organiser John. The Dartmoor run firstly took us to Princetown Prison Museum which was very interesting – we met one of the prisoners who told us some engrossing stories.
After about one hour we left Princetown and headed to Widecombe on the Moor for lunch. The scenery was at times breath taking and with the Sun shining – what a fantastic car run. We had a great lunch at the Old Inn, the food and service was excellent. After a few pictures it was off to our next stop Moreton Hampstead Motor Museum. With over 120 Vintage and Classic vehicles and a collection of memorabilia, this was a great place to complete our Dartmoor run. www.mortonmotormuseum.co.uk
