On Saturday 12th July, with the sun shining, we had 12 cars on our club stand. This was KOVC's first year at this new venue and it worked very well, with all exhibitors in one field. A few of us camped, and on Saturday evening we saw a great band called 'Fully Amped'. During the interval they had an auction, and myself and club member John Adamson ended up with wine, club member Glen bid £20 for one of our bucket hats! Their auction raised £500 and then the band played their second set until late.
KOVC Rally, Day 1
Sunday 13th July, we had 11 cars, a few different ones to normal, as some of our club members were at Penzance Promenade Car Show this day as well. Along with classic and vintage cars at the KOVC Rally, there were tractors, trucks, miniature steam, military vehicles, stationary engines and loads of traders. Mid-afternoon, a young lad and his dad turned up with a Capri 2.8 Injection and showed interest in joining our club, which was fantastic.
On both days, around 3:30pm, cars were invited into the ring for a parade and on the Sunday, awards were handed out and one of our friends, Steve Johns, won with his Capri 2.8 Turbo Techniks.
KOVC Rally, Day 2
We would like to thank Zoe Chapman and all the team at KOVC for a great weekend!
Until next time
Mark
