The Duchy Ford Club were delighted to have been invited to the Cornwall Blood Bikes 10 Year Anniversary celebrations. It was a cold and windy start as we left the Inn for all seasons at 9.10am - poor Frank had to wear 3 coats in his AC Cobra.

Waiting to leave Inn for All Seasons.

On the way up to Wadebridge, we met more members on the A30 and arrived at Wadebridge with 23 cars. It would have been 25 but one of our club members unfortunately broke down (another club member stopped to help) on the way, and ended up bringing his car along on a trailer a bit later on in the morning.

Our club stand set up at the event.

The first thing we noticed was the wind had gone and the sun was out at the Royal Cornwall Showground. The club looked amazing with a wide variety of Fords on display. Having supported the Cornwall Blood Bikes for many years, it was a pleasure to support them on their 10th anniversary. Our other chosen charities that we are supporting via the Duchy Ford Show Weekend - Cornwall Air Ambulance and Cornwall Hospice Care - were also there and during the afternoon the Air Ambulance landed on site and we met the paramedics and pilot, and got some group pictures taken.

There was a lot of interest in our cars, with many people picking up flyers for our show. We also met with a face painting artist who will be attending our show - a great attraction for the youngsters!

The Duchy Ford Club would like to Congratulate Jayne and all at Cornwall Blood Bikes on celebrating 10 years. We look forward to supporting them again this year at our show on 21st & 22nd June.

Until next time,

Mark Roberts

Club Chairman
