NEC Classic Motor Show Saturday 9th November 2024

An early start for this one, 5.00am, as club chairman Mark, committee member Keith and club friend Ian made their way to Birmingham. The only stop we made was Gloucester Services, and we arrived in Birmingham just after 10.00am.

We firstly made a bee line to Hall 8, which was completely full of Fords. We spent quite a few minutes on the Ford Perana stand chatting to a very interesting member. And then on to the Capri Mk1 Owners Club (which our chairman Mark is a member of) to collect a Club Calendar. They are hoping to bring 5 Cars to our Duchy Ford Show Weekend next year, which tickets are now available for (click here to book).

An array of Fords.

There were Ford clubs to represent almost every Ford; membership and marketing coordinator Jenni will be pleased that the UK Probe Owners Club had 6 cars on their stand. On leaving the Fords in Hall 8, we carried on to explore the rest of the show. The event was massive - too much to see in one day - with traders, autojumble, clubs, auctions, dream car rides, celebrity talks and much more. We managed to visit all the halls, but didn't have time to see everything.

Even more Fords!

All in all, we had a great day and can't wait for next year.

Until next time,

Mark
