Club members were lucky to have a dry and bright start to the day for the West Cornwall Vintage Vehicle Road Run. At 9am, club secretary Adam Hicks, and club members Dave & Nick met for a famous Smokey Joes Hungrymans Breakfast which was lovely as always. After breakfast, they met up in the carpark with a few of the other club members, 10 in total, which was a great turn out. We couldn’t count all the vehicles but we believe there were over 60+ cars and 30+ commercials.
Club member, Chris Farley's Ford F100.
11am came around and it was time for all of us to depart! The first leg of the journey took us towards the south coast taking in the villages of Lanner, Ponsanooth, Longdowns, Helston then on to Penzance. After a quick trip down the promenade in Penzance we headed on to St Just and then finally reaching our lunchtime stop of Wheal Geevor Mine.
Other Fords in attendance.
After a pasty lunch we set off again heading up the North Coast of Cornwall taking in the delightful scenery of Zennor and St Ives. We all then made our own way home back up the A30.
Thank you again to the organisers. See you at the next event.
Until next time,
Adam
